Never Never

I have, in the past, foolishly stated about numerous bits of kit that 'I would never part with them' and guess what? Yes indeed I have eventually sold every one of them!

I have written about one such item before, my old Leica Summilux-M 35mm f1.4, here. Which I then I then replaced with the super duper Zeiss Distagon 35mm f1.4 ZM about which I also stated I wouldn't ever sell - now gone too.

In fact I have just recently parted with the last bits of my complete Zeiss Ikon ZM outfit with its 35mm film rangefinder camera bodies and all of its M lenses, a set that I also intended to be always with me.

Then there were a number of digital cameras and lenses that I was attached to like my Pen-F's and my f1.2 primes which have also now faded into the distance that is the used market. In fact most of my digital gear has gone too, now that I have returned to using my Contax G2 film cameras and lenses as my primary creative photographic apparatus.

So what has actually stuck? Well the G2 outfit obviously. Also my first 'serious' camera my Yashica Electro 35 GX, though that's more about sentiment than practical value, which you can read more about here. Plus, more recently, my Sony RX100 VII about which here.

So there you have it. My new resolution is to to say, "Neve say never again." Well probably.
