Close encounters of the wild kind. Having the opportunity to experience and maybe even photograph something wonderful requires respect, trust, patience and luck.
The creatures that live in the wild have a tough, often short lives, frequently made even more challenging by us humans. They are wary of us and with good reason. Many of them now live perforce in the urban wild of our creation.
But by showing respect, establishing mutual trust, being patient and with a large slice of luck we might get to establish periodic contact with the wilders and create some interesting photographs along the way
However, I am always aware that such encounters are a gift not a right and everything in nature has its season, but they are very spiritually enriching and good for the soul.
