Poignant Autumn

There is something poignant about Autumn this year of the pandemic imbuing it with a sense of melancholia, beautiful though it may be.

Photographs are having to be grabbed with a regime for mitigating risk wherever and whenever they can this year.

Sadly many of the places I would traditionally go to for Autumn pictures are either no longer accessible or are not safe as people gathering are there in numbers, not socially distancing nor wearing masks.

So this year I shall be content with the reduced number of pictures that I can make securely rather than reflecting on the majority that I won't be able to make at all. It is a sad time never-the-less and unlikely to change anytime soon. The Autumn colour is welcome just the same even if I cannot photograph it in the way I would normally like to do. A few recent snaps may be found here.
